I do not know how it works with the children of today , but when I was little in the late 80s and early 90s , the time of my birthday was my favorite ! I simply chose a theme and my mother (photo ) turned to do. Usually she even drew, glued on styrofoam and with a knife , made the figures .
I liked it because as our family had minimum financial conditions , it was time to ask fot the best financial condition relatives the toys I wanted.
It turns out that as we age this stops to happen , and parties are meaningless . So it is not unusual to listen : " Yeah, I do not like to celebrate my birthday ... "
But that was in 2002 in São Paulo in the old Central School of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun , among those 152 people present , Si Gung saying on his birthday : . " ... I myself do not like to celebrate my birthdays But after a time I understood that it was not for me , the birthday party is for guests .Its a chance for them to pay homage to the person ... "
CELEBRAÇÃO DO ANIVERSÁRIO DE MESTRE RICARDO QUEIROZ E DEMAIS CELEBRAÇÕES DE DEZEMBRO.
MASTER RICARDO QUEIROZ B-DAY CELEB. AND MORE CELEBS. IN DEC.
That was the MYVT Meier School when I opened the door the first time. The floor was very dirty and all that existed in the room was an old intercom on the wall.
I made sure to clean up all alone, I thought it would be interesting to let my energy there right away. But even on bare ground, and after took some chairs and then not much has changed. But just a week later, along Guilherme Farias, we would get our first interested in practicing: A boy named Fabio Sá. But here he comes on crutches with an injured ankle. Fabio listened carefully to what I had to say about the Ving Tsun and left promising start when he was recovered ...

(Celebration of Fabio Sá's b-day, or "Fabiosa", third from left to right, as he is called by some students)
Fabio returned a few months later healed and never stopped. His dedication, respect, desire to excel and affection for all, soon made him loved and admired by everyone else. Thus, in the last week of operation of school in Meier in December ,we celebrated his birthday with pizza .Fabiosa, hear the words of everyone about how he is a important person, It was something remarkable for him.

If I can respect Fabiosa for believing in the work of Meier when it was still an empty room, I can say I have the same respect for Raphael Caputo which began when we still functioned at a dance school as we see in the photo.
Little Raphael is now 18 years old, had to fight trough this year to work together the practice of Ving Tsun with numerous classes and exams he had to do. And with a relationship that has grown a lot over this year so troubled for both, we had the opportunity to know each other as never before.
Alexandre Ribeiro, that we see wearing the gray shirt down the side of Si Fu. In his first day of practice spent an entire day at the Meier Mo Gun with us untill a dinner with the presence of Si fu (photo). Two years later, Alexandre remained firm even when all he wanted was to go home after school, and now as a mid-level practitioner only 15 years old, is one of the dearest practitioners of Meier.
So, just two days after we celebrate the birthday of Fabiosa, it was time to give the opportunity to Rapha and Alexandre to be honored at a lunch. This is a tradition that was established in these three years at the MYVT Meier School. Usually one or more Kung Fu brothers organize this moment.
E no patins sempre perco o equilibrio...
The b-day celebration of Raphael and Alexandre, was organized by younger brother of Raphael: Rodrigo Caputo (photo).
Si Fu always said that in Chinese culture there is no idea of an expert, a specialist in something, but rather, someone who can understand various subjects.
I never played guitar so well, never drew so well, and of course, never sang well too. And using the in line roller-blades always lose the balance ... But still, I can play with all these activities ... And I owe it to this logic of Si Fu ...
Rodrigo (photo) along the years developed this characteristic naturally: Guitar, skateboarding, soccer, volleyball, weight training ... It is interesting to see how minimally Rodrigo manages to do well in every activity he does. And now, also in Ving Tsun ... And 2013 was no doubt a great year for the growth of the Rodrigo in Kung Fu Family ...
A Ferrari Testarossa, a classic Ray-Ban, a shoe without socks and a pastel blazer with purple shirt ... To this day, even for a Miami Vice fan like me, the last two items are the only possible ...
Mestre Li Hon Ki.
So dressed as a brazilian Sonny Corckett , I met Si Fu near the MYVT Barra School, and from there we went together to the Hotel Windsor Plaza to celebrate the birthday of the beloved Master Ricardo Queiroz place where moments before I could personally meet the dear Master Marcos de Abreu disciple of
Master Li Hon Ki from another lineage.
With all affection, we were greeted by Master Ricardo, his wife Flavia and their Kung Fu Family in a very good dinner that did justice to this person beloved by everyone who has been developing a phenomenal job with the Ving Tsun in the downtown of Rio de Janeiro

Grão-Mestre Moy Yat certa vez disse que "Siu Nim Tau" é "...Lembrar do início.." .
Grand Master Moy Yat once said that "Siu Nim Tau" means "... Remember the beginning .." . I found this a fantastic interpretation because something very difficult not only in martial arts but in life, is to keep the purity in our actions. Keeping our values and character even when the situation tightens, is very difficult.
So whenever I come across throughout the zeal with which the Members of Kung Fu Family leaded by Master Ricardo Queiroz treat me as well as other veterans , I remember looking at myself, and see if I still hold the same willingness to care for someone ...
Master Ricardo Queiroz could speak a few words after hearing from his students and wives, kung fu brothers and his own wife, Mrs. Flavia, many things about how his person is important in the lives of all of them. He even talked about not liking to celebrate birthdays.
And after that very touched,Master Leo Imamura, my Si Gung, who was also present. Also spoke a few words to Si Sok Ricardo Queiroz and to the others, that "ricardo" could do not like birthdays, this would not be important. But the figure of the leader, the figure of "Si Fu" it was important to be honored. And Si Gung, as in 2002, talked about the fact that he does not even like to celebrate his birthday, but he saw the importance of letting himself be honored over time by the Kung Fu Family. Furthermore, his willingness to be present there, honoring his longtime disciple, even while his daughter was at her graduation ceremony at school that night far away ...
