On the last day June 27, Rodrigo Caputo, who appear very young in the photo with me and Si Fu. Organized a movie session at MYVT Meier,. Whe we meet like this, I usually take materials that Si Gung left  with me, and that has some connection with the theme of the film. We also tried not to watch any movie, but rather try to see behind the Kung Fu in it.

The first option would be "Redcliff", the amazing strategy  film directed by John Woo. The film is excellent and showss the issue of strategic intelligence with legendary figures such as General Kwan Kun.
But when we realized that the  group age in this meeting was mostly people under 16 years old, we thought that maybe three hours of film with a different theme was too much.

So we decided for ...

Shaolin Soccer (2002)!
For the boys was really cool because the film shows the story of Sing (Stephen Chow), a disciple of a Shaolin Master, which attempts to fulfill the request of his Master looking for a way to use Kung Fu in the day-to-day, because he believes that people's lives would be easier. For this, Sing have to ask for help from his Kung Fu brothers , but they abandoned the Kung Fu absorbed in their daily routes. How will Sing to awaken his Si Hings and Si Dais' Kung Fu  again??

Watch below, my favortie scene: The moment when Sing meets Mui for the first time, and see how she uses her Tai Chi in her daily life, preparing buns!

Assista abaixo, a filmagem do último dia 27 de Junho. Desde os preparativos!

Now, the footage of the day! Since the preparations 'till night trainning!

COPACABANA BRANCH: RENEWING THE PLACE, RARE PHOTOS OF MASTER URSULA AND TOP GUN ( Nucleo Copacabana: Renovando o local, fotos raras de Mestra Ursula e Top Gun!)

Do not know if you've seen, but the picture above, is an another film about Ip Man. But this time, with the talented Tony Leung in the role. Is a film by the celebrated director Wong Kar Wai. This week however, I was fortunate to watch another classic of this director from 1988 with Andy Lau and Maggie Cheung, called "The Tears Goes By"

Before you ask why the movie is so good, I say: Not only because it is a remake of a Scorsese gangster movie called "Mean Streets" from  '79, but mainly because Wong Kar Wai despite making hipster movies , he is ultra-fan of the movie" Top Gun". So here he uses six minutes of the film with a scene of romance between Wah (Andy Lau) and Ngor (Maggie Cheung) with the tune  "Take My Breath Away" in the background in Cantonese!

Assista abaixo:
Watch!

I am sooo fan of Top Gun movie man! So after seeing this movie if next Sunday, July 1st When I'm on MYVT Copacabana  to attend the II Traditional ceremony of Moy Lin Mah Family at 10:30 am using a Ray-Ban Aviator, a dogtag in my neck and a white T-shirt with the sleeve folded, dont be afraid. Si Sok Ursula, now a Master by Moy Yat Ving Tsun, in 1999 supporting her Si Hing´s new Mo Gun.

Careful attention to the Mo Gun, can arouse different potential in each person. Also, a growing sentiment that is also your home, that place is also yours. But you should not go help thinking about what you will win, but, choose to think about the difference that you make, in every place you are, not only the Mo Gun.

Because maybe, when you're coming home, you feel that nothing has changed in you. But I  assured you, you've changed a lot for  Mo Gun, and places you frequents. So who knows, you become someone who makes a difference when you are present.

wasserman returns and si fu talks about "emptiness" (O retorno de Wasserman e Si Fu fala sobre "Vazio")

Once we were having Yam Cha on Saturday morning  before going to
Mo Gun and Si Fu commented that in Chinese Way, the appreciation of the "Emptness". He talked about the fact that the West always have the need to be "doing something", our time has to "be filled" if not,  we feel  useless. The Chinese Way is exactly the opposite, "emptiness" is exactly the best time you have to see future trends. Besides, what is known as "no action" is not the same as "do nothing" ....

Recently I have seen myself in many situations of "full" and "Emptness" .Sometimes I find myself alone in the MYVT Meier, 'cause everybody did not attend a class lol, Some toher times, it appears everyone at once. But the big challenge is not finding it is "good" when "is full of people," nor that it is "bad" when Mo Gun "is empty." But yes, try to understand the potential of each situation set.

QUINTA E SEXTA NA FAMÍLIA MOY JO LEI OU.
THURDAY AND FRIDAY IN MOY JO LEI OU FAMILY!

Although he was tired and had a trip the next day, Si Fu was very excited last Thursday, so the present people that night even with all the rain , took an official photo of the moment with him. However, where we see in this photo: Guilherme, Cynthia, Marcelo and Si Fu, the guy in black deserves remark.

Thiago Wasserman, who in this photo from 2005 appears by my side very young, is very important in my journey. As my young friend's from Japanese Language Classes at the time, Wasserman always used to ask me to take him to  the Mo Gun. I always got an excuse. Wasserman ended up going by himself, and when he was invited to join the Family ,he chose me to present him as we see in the picture. For the first time I saw myself responsible for someone else, and it changed my way of seeing the Kung Fu forever ...

Thats why I was so happy to see him back home. This photo represents to me also a second chance to have a higher level relashionship of Si Hing Si Dai with him!

Enquanto isso no dia seguinte no Núcleo Méier...
While that , next day at MYVT Meier....

In the day before, Barra Branch was full of people.Last friday , a lot of people said that would not attend their VT sessions at MYVT Meier. So only around 17 o´clock a lot of people started to come. Including Bruno Tito, that not appears in these photos.

Pedro and his Si Hing Rodrigo started the Luk Sau. For me it is very significative to watch they growing up in Ving Tsun. Their honesty while trainning is taking them to higher levels day after day.
E agora????" . Todos rimos bastante.

A great moment in this first "empty" afternoon and later "full" was when we decided to play a little with protectors. I would attack the guys and they had to use only Ving Tsun. Rodrigo, yes, the young one wearing red in the photo before, choked me when I tried to hold him. He said: "I got Si Hing! What I do now!!!" . Everyone started to smile, but the young one made me tap out! hahahaha

Before you go, let me share with you a hit jingle from Coca-Cola in a very special chinese version: Always Coca-Cola by Sally Yip!

SI FU AT MYVT MEIER AND DEMONSTRATIONS (SI FU NO MÉIER COM DEMONSTRAÇÕES)

(thats me in my early days visiting some parents in West Zone of Rio)

Era onde meus amigos estavam, onde o futebol rolava, onde tinha o terreno da Dona Ivone pra pular o muro e roubar manga, onde Chevetes rebaixados passavam tocando "Just Like The Wind" do Tony Garcia no ultimo volume, etc..

When I was a little boy and lived in Rocha Miranda wild neighborhood, obviously I do not want to leave there for nothing. That's where my friends were, where soccer was rolling, where was Mrs Ivone's yard  and we used to jump the wall and steal mangoes, where lowered Chevetes cars go along playing "Just Like The Wind" by Tony Garcia in the last volume, etc. .. But as my parents were divorced,  I had to go to West Zone to spend the weekend sometimes. Do not get me wrong, is not that I disliked my family there, but I had almost no contact with them most of the time ...

The lines above is from (Spy Next Door) Starring Jackie Chan....

And I remembered those lines when Si Fu said...

SI FU VISITA O MÉIER: ENCONTROS COM SI FU
SI FU VISITS MYVT MEIER: MEETINGS WITH SI FU

...That he was very happy to be back in MYVT Meier and feel at home. Citing also the fact that often got there and did not know the name of some practitioners because of the lack of contact and proximity, but this time he knew everyone , and was very pleased by it.

Si Fu visited the MYVT Meier in the last Monday to start an activity that are "Encounters with Si Fu", based on exactly what Si Gung has been promoting in the House of Disciples in Sao Paulo: "The Meeting of the 8".

Nesses encontros temas pré-definidos serão discutidos , referentes ao "Pensamento Chinês" que envolve toda a parte cultural do Ving Tsun.

In these meetings pre-defined themes will be discussed, relating to "Chinese Thinking" which involves all the cultural part of the Ving Tsun.

The presence of Si Fu was also able to bring Daniel de Caires,my young  Kung Fu brother left again to Mo Gun after 6 months. In this picture he appears alongside Fabio Sa, who had exactly the first part of his Siu Nim Tau, shown by Daniel.

Ailton Jordao, even with a broken arm was back because of Si Fu. Pedro(left) and André (wearing blue) are almost living in Mo Gun hehe, I see them more than my own mother!
Lidiane ao fundo, levantou o primeiro tema. E ela escolheu perguntar sobre chutes altos no Ving Tsun.
Si Fu deu toda a atenção a sua questão fazendo vários tipos de demonstração.

Lidiane in the back, asked Si Fu about "High-Kicks" on Ving Tsun! Si Fu give his attention to the question doing a lot of demonstrations!

Lucas , between Alexandre and Cynthia , asked about Gau Gap Sau(救急手) , the "emergencial techiniques" from Ving Tsun.

Everyone had fun with Si Fu incredible demonstrations about the theme. Eacho movement was very cool.

Was a very special night for everyone. The next meeting will be in July,02 . You are going to see more photos soon!

Below, my Si Hing Leo Reis, talks in a very special way about hig-kicks in Ving Tsun! For you that did not see , you must do it!

TWO NEW MEMBERS IN MOY YAT CLAN FROM RIO! ( DOIS NOVOS MEMBROS NA FAMILIA MOY JO LEI OU!)

Sonny and Ricardo saying "Goodbye" por blogdopereira

The scene above is from one of my favorite series, MIAMI VICE. And it's not any  scene, It is about when the detectives Ricardo Tubbs, from New York, and Sonny Crockett from Miami, which did not get along at the beginning of their work, say goodbye at the end of last season.

"I''m gonna miss you man ..." - Sonny says.

Who has never felt so close to a friend as if he was part of your own Family?

In last Monday, I had the honor of receiving in the MYVT Meier Mo Gun,Si Fu  and many brothers from KF Family, and among them,  Bruno and Cynthia, who were invited to join the Kung Fu Family , during a dinner at a restaurant discovered by Vini Teixeira near the MYVT Meier ...

Cynthia, who hugs Si Fu in this  photo, made a very interesting definition of the moment:
"Our Family we do not choose. Our friends we choose, but the Kung Fu Family ... We choose it, but it also chooses us."

VING TSUN IN THE NEWSPAPER IN AN ARTICLE BY MASTER JULIO CAMACHO!

Aproveite!

You may not know but I graduated in 2008 in Biology and work in this business since 2002 . And thanks to frequent exposure to pyrethroid  present in insecticides which I work , I got super powers and became a practitioner of Ving Tsun, which is my secret identi ... Well, at least that is how I like to imagine ... lol

Actually a series of factors made possible for me that today I could also work with I LOVE, Ving Tsun. And so, the blog brings a newspaper article with Master Julio Camacho from the 90s, titled "MAKE IT HAPPEN".

This article is hosted by Mauro Lima, he sent to the BLOG!

Enjoy!

Arte Marcial diz respeito exatamente a ação.

MAKE IT HAPPEN by Julio Camacho

Martial Art requires movement. The ability to make things move, is what will  distinguish a true martial artist from a mere repeater of techniques. Often we see people with good ideas who can not get them out of the mental plane. They live surrounded by good intentions but do not act in order for that to occur.
Martial Art exact concerns  the  action. A true master necessarily mastered the ability to act. Their struggles are  in the arena of real life and his greatest victories in daily life.
In Ving Tsun, there is a theory that we call "Chung Chi." In general, we translate "Chung Chi" as "forward power " or "move forward".
That we train all the time bodily, creates an incredible ability to progress, to advance despite difficulties.
When we faced with someone who has "Chung Chi," we know that we are dealing with someone special, someone who does not let down and have a great resistance, and a unique ability to self-motivate and move on.
We are faced with someone who learn to fight for everything that he believes and to believe in everything that he fights for, finally, a person who will not give up until he gets to his victory.
Whenever we encounter such a person, we know that we are facing a true martial artist. You could say that the greatest power of the martial artist, is the power to make things happen. And this power is developed day by day, and naturally, as in all that is really important and definitive imperceptible.
One of the most fantastic benefits of Ving Tsun is the emotional preparation. This preparation is very important for us to act in times of trouble.
Let me illustrate, one of the most common reasons for not accomplishing something great is the lack of money. Well, I say that the real problem is not lack of money, but the emotional imbalance  caused by the lack of money.
The good Ving Tsun practitioner is trained to give his best to fight once more, just when they are needed. What for most people may present an obstacle or as something that will give up or slow down, to the person emotionally prepared for that situation, could act as an incentive to make things happen, to move it is around you and make a change.
Grand Master Moy Yat summarizes this idea with the phrase "Yiu Hau Pen Hou," which in its broadest sense can mean "You want to be good, you will be."

In a scenarioas beautiful as the island of Lost or the Nublar Island from Jurassic Park,Si Fu led some practitioners to practice Luk Din Bum Gwaan. Just 10 minutes from MYVT Barra Mo Gun, we have a lot of space to do this practice ...

It is known that in 60's, Si Taai Gung Moy Yat (left) unable to practice  Luk Din Bun Gwaan in Hong Kong for reasons of that time, he and a friend used to practice in a location away ...

Over 50 years later, in an idyllic setting in the othe side of the world, Carlos Antunes and Vladimir Anchieta practice Luk Din Bum gwaan.

The Luk Din Gwaan Bum is the fifth level of Ving Tsun, and is a very interesting study, because if you do not know how to work with it, it becomes a strenuous activity, so as to be traumatic for many people.

Carry the long poles inside a car is never easy, but we make a way anyway..lol

The position of the body at the time of the shooting, is unlike anything you've seen in Ving Tsun before this level. Unfortunately for me, it is very difficult to work, since one of my knees is completely  busted . But I still believe there is a position that allows me to work on it at a high level even in this state. Just could not find it yet.

Practicing outdoors or in different environments is always very good. I'm hoping that with this last Saturday, we are once again motivated to try new scenarios for our practice.
