A poucos dias da inauguração do Núcleo Méier, a qual está inserida dentro da próxima vinda de Si Gung ao Rio, trazemos um texto escrito por ele há alguns anos sobre suas motivações quando começou o Ving Tsun, e como o Siu Nim Tau o ajudou.
Na foto acima, Si Gung e Si Taai inauguram o Núcleo Jacarepaguá na metade de 1995, local no qual fiz meu Ving Tsun experience....
Just some days 'till the grand-openning of MYVT in North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. So we brought an old text by Si Gung, where he tells us about his start in Ving Tsun, and how Siu Nim Tau helpped him to find his way trough.

Lembrei de como comecei a praticar artes marciais formalmente por iniciativa de meus pais. Lembrei-me também do meu interesse pelo Ving Tsun, apenas por ele, como uma arte que permitiria um crescimento pessoal, e não um simples sistema eficaz de combate. Atraia-me sua simplicidade mágica como se a anergia dos mestres do passado ainda estivesse presente em cada movimento realizado...Me veio amente os livros que não podia comprar, mas que com o tempo fui tendo a oportunidade de adquirir xerox de cada um deles , sentia-me um arqueólogo que decifra os "segredos" do passado. Muitas vezes demorava um dia para ler uma página em inglês com meu dicionário do lado...."
