This time, the Peartree´s Blog even loosing the timing a little, will not let blank the birthday of Grand Master Moy Yat.

Thanks to his large transmission capacity of the Ving Tsun System, spectacular Masters were trained under his tutelage, and let's talk a bit about some interesting passages of his life.

Grand Master Moy Yat in fact is called Moy Yit Kai, "Moy Yat" was the Kung Fu name given by his Si Fu Yip Man, which means something close to:
" Moy number 1"

It is true that "Moy" perhaps is not so popular as "Lee" or "Wong" in popularity, but is also a very common name.

Si Taai Gung was born on June,27 1938, but rather celebrate his birth on June 28 cause he used to believe in luck that the number 8 brings .

Moy Chan Bik Sheung.

Sobre as mães, Si Taai Gung escreveu certa vez:

Si Taai Gung was born in the Duen Fan village of Toi San district in Kwong Tung province, China.

Si taai Gung Moy Yat lost his father very young, and thus was created by his mother. Moy Chan BIK Sheung .

On the mothers, Si Gung Taai said once:

"

"Before move to Us I never saw a "Mother´s Day", altough now I see it every year...
...As an outsider I find it difficult to understand the idea of a Mother´s Day. Perhaps if I were a woman it would be easier...
...Even tough I make my own schedule I´m usually very busy.I have little time for TV. Lately ,however, I saw a program from Hong Kong called "Mother". The story was so touching that I cried. The mother in the story was so kind , she reminded me very much my own mother and mothers everywhere...
...I myself have a mother, but I never noticed Mother´s Day. I have meals home with my mother everyday, and my mother says she´s happier than the other mothers who only eat ou with their families once a year."

Si Taai Gung Moy Yat also was raised with his older brother and Sis: Moy Yat Jun and Moy Mo Cheng.

A wonderful picture gatering Grand-Master Moy Yat with his mother, and we also can see Ms. Helen Moy, Master Miguel, Master Leo, and behind Master Anthony and a very young Master William.

Finally after dream a long about the Martial Arts, his life changed after being presented to the Yip ManFamily by Moy Bin Wah, also known as Yu Yau Hin ate the the Mo Gun of Lee Cheng UK State.
His "Hoi Kuen was done under the guidance of another very important person in his history on behalf of his Si Fu Ip Man: Mr Mak Po.

Man ! What a picture!
I hope me and my Kung Fu fellas be togheter for a long time so we could have the opportunity to take a picture like that!

About the time when Si Taai Gung was trainning at that Mo Gun he said once:

"Hung Chai Hung joined
Kung Fu Family in Lee Tak Street. He was very serious, a quiet fella, but after Ving Tsun he was less shy. He came to us already with a Praying Mantis background already. At that time I was very tall and skinny, like a stick of bamboo. The kung fu brothers have never hated me, but no one ever changed their way to be nice to me too. Hug Chai Hung and I then became great friends.

The skin of Hug Chai Hung was white as snow, and he had no front teeth, only a 'tiger tooth '. I believe that is why he was so serious, he was afraid that someone see he smile.
If he didint taught me my Kung Fu, certainly helped me to develop it ...
... We cleaned the Mo Gun, filled the water tank, among other things.
I used to get there 13 h after school. Hug Chai Hung was there at this time, punching the sand bag. He always used to say: "Little Yat, do the
Siu nim Tau for now, until I finish my training with the Sa-Bao".
I understand now why he liked
to train with me . First, I was the one of the only ones who liked and respected him. But more important, he saw my in my very thin body something familiar to his tooth that was missing, cause that made us differente and ridiculed by others. We were in the same boat together ... "

In the year of 1962, made the Hoi Jong under direct guidance of Yip Man at Heng Building,in Tai Po Road.
Later, he was authorized by his Si Fu to establish his "Mun" (Family) becoming the youngest qualified Master of Ving Tsun legitimately recognized.

Then opened the Moy Yat Kin San Hok Yuen [ "Institute of Health of Moy Yat from Ving Tsun"] - A very cool name!

Si Taai Gung Moy Yat looking for someone to manufacture his Jiu Pai. Mr. Chan Hon Yung, recommended his friend of studies of poetry, Kwong Chi Nam for the work:

Numa foto histórica, temos a esquerda o jovem Grão-Mestre Moy Yat e Kwong Chi Nam ao centro ao lado do Patriarca Ip Man.
A Historical picture gatering grand-Master Moy Yat, Kwong Chi Nam and their Si Fu .

The Jiu Pai was made by wood and has golden characters with a black background with the inscription:
Moy Yat Gwok Sut Yuen ["Institute of Martial Arts of Moy Yat from Ving Tsun"]

I dont know why, but refeer to someone as "Mr from Ving Tsun" sounds very cool for me.

Si Taai Gung liked so much, that the Jiu Pai stay in his Mo Gun forever.

From their friendship, a lot of amazing artistic works came!
And also a legendary one: "The Ving Tsun Kuen Kuit"

Si Taai Gung Moy Yat continued with his artistic vein!

Tem sob sua autoria as obras literárias:
He had written some great books !

-Suen Hak Yip Tam(19--) [Dispersos sobre Inscultura Sigilar]
-108 Muk Yan Jong(1974)
-Ngau Gwu Chai (1976)[ Catálogo silográfico do Ngau Gwu Chai]

(He had painted his own village as you see on the wall!
Thats my favorite artistic work from him!)

In '64, Si Taai Gung married with the love of his life: Ms Helen Moy.
So he had some children: Vieven Moy (Wai Wan), Viva Moy(Wai Wah) and the Master William Moy(Wai Lam)

Si Taai Gung with his Si Fu by his side.
Certa vez Si Taai Gung escreveu:

For a lot of people, Si Taai Gung was like an "right arm" for Yip Man. And about people who said: "I was the one, I was the only closed door student, I was the only whatever!" he said once...

"O Ving Tsun pôde crescer em Hong Kong...
"

"The Ving Tsun could grow in Hong Kong ...
... Every year in September, we celebrate the birthday of Yip Man We always select the finest and best located restaurant, using the entire room for
Kung Fu Family .
Martial artists come from all parts to
wish happy birthday . This is the biggest "holiday" in Kung Fu Family . We had flowers covered with signs .
The signs were reserved only for some first-generation Si Fus. Leung Shang
and Lok Yu used to be the the first and second.
For some years, I left Leung Shang decide who would be the "Number 3" to avoid further discussions. Then I decided to reward the third position in the sign, to the person who paid the first division among all to buy it.
My name was always at the other end of it, so if you read from left to right, I was the number 1.
Now, since 1972 when Yip Man died, the whole discussion on position and
family rank ing has become meaningless. Only fools still do some noise on their position in the past. I just enjoy my memories of time spent with Yip Man and the Kung Fu that I have received from him. "

Porém em 1972 Ip Man faleceu...

But in 1972, Yip Man passed away...

and as we see, grand-Master Moy Yat support the great Master´s funeral.

Before that happens however, was already established the Ving Tsun Athletic Association inaugurated with the participation of members of the Kung Fu Family , being among them, an elite group was chosen to coordinate.Si Taai Gung was among them.

In 1973 he moved to Brooklyn in the NY, USA, with his family where he founded the Mo Gun which named as the Ding Lek Mo Gun .

By the way that Si Taai Gung used to coordinated the training, many said that in fact what he was taught was not Ving Tsun.

However, Masters of high level were trained under his tutelage, that showed precisely the opposite of what the people said.

The apparent negligence was in fact a subtle efficacy disguised as the highest degree of mastery, which in the words of Si Sok Leonardo Mordente from Belo Horizonte Branch: "It is expected that the effects of the work will, but that its author is not related to them."
Si Gung Leo Imamura foi apresentado formalmente pelo Sr. Albert Lee a Si Taai Gung Moy Yat no ano de 1987.

Si Gung Leo Imamura was presented to Si Taai Gung in 1987 by Mister Albert Lee.

But this is another story!
Later I hope to tell you!

Between 1987 and 2000, Si Taai Gung recorded a lot of tapes about Ving Tsun and related themes. The first one was a production of Master Anthony (Moy Tung) called "Stories of Zen."

ABAIXO, CONFIRA ALGUMAS FOTOS DE SI TAAI GUNG E UMA SURPRESA NO FINAL:

NOW SOME PHOTOS OF RIO DE JANEIRO´S COLLECTION!!!

During his last visit to Brazil, he went to BOPE (Police Force Operation Batalion) and the Colonel Venancio Moura gave him and tribute.

Si Taai Gung received this plate , 'cause his disciple ,Si Gung Leo Imamura, was guiding Si Sok Fabio Gomes who does a great work with Ving Tsun in Special Forces like BOPE. Si Sok Fabio sometimes also counts with the orientation of his two Si Hing: Master Nataniel and Master Julio.
O Coronel mostra a placa para Si Gung que está entre Si Taai Gung Moy Yat e Si Sok Marcelo Abreu.

Bope is a Special Force of Militar Police of Rio. Because of the drug money in our city, the drug dealers uses grenades,AR-15 rifles , AK 47, pistols and even bazookas sometimes. For this reason, when regular police can not stop the bullets , BOPE shows up.
When they come , they use a shielded car which has the nickname of "BIG SKULL"
"Big Skull" , 'cause their symbol is that on the photo!
And all police officers of Bope are called "the Skulls".
They are so famous in our city and around the entire country, that the coolest movie in Brazil was made about them: (TRAILER IN ENGLISH HERE)

You may think strange to talk about Police and this things, but its just tou you from outside know that is a great responsability teach those guys. They use to see heavy violence every day,so...
...Now you see that Si Taai Gung had not just teach his students how to be a good man with dignity and courage but also if necessary with bare hands, cause that is the work there.
Anos depois Si Taai Gung reencontra-se com seus irmãos Kung Fu em Hong Kong como Ip Chun, Ip Ching e Wong Shun Leung.

After a long time, old fellas meet each other.

On Si Gung´s marriage, the dress of the fianceé Si Taai Vanise Imamura, was gave by Si Taai Gung and Si Taai Po.

Still visiting BOPE´s facilities in Rio, a beautiful scene of Master and Discipule.
And..wait a minute! Is that Master Anderson director of Belo Horizonte with a camera and a mustache??

Theres no time neither place!

'Cause of that, even during a lunch we can see scenes like that!

When he came to Rio last time, our old Mo Gun almost could not handle the people! hehe

Some practitioners doesn´t know the Geuk Jong!
And there was Si Taai Gung at the second address that MYVT had in Sao Paulo.

This photo is great!
Because of the image, I always imagine a 70´s Tv serie scene!
The Statues is alive and Si Taai Gung has to stop them!
So after that , Ultraman does an "OK" signal to him for the support and fly away.
The episode would end with a image of Si Taai Gung watching Ultraman flying away back home.
Lute Moy Yat! Avante Ultraman!"

So we would listen the narrator say:
"Hideki Go learns a great lesson: That even far away from his home there is such a great power like Master Moy Yat! Fight Moy yat! Keep Going Ultraman!"

I have a limited knowlegde of Si Taai Gung´s life, but I hope that you enjoy this one!

Mas não sem antes a surpresa:
