ENTREVISTA : SI SOK URSULA (si sok ursula´s interview)

The Chinese coin, as around the world is round. However, in the midst of that there is a square hole. Few people
know, but the circular form of the coin represents the "heaven", and the square hole, the "Land", and
that unites the "sky" and "land" in this case, is the man that carries the coin.
If the Moy Yat Kung Fu Ving Tsun in Rio de Janeiro was a Chinese coin,
and the Si Fu and Si Mo´s Kung Fu were the "sky" and we the members were "land", who would be sure to unite us would be
Si Sok Ursula Lima ....

ENTREVISTA: SI SOK URSULA LIMA [MOY LIN MA]:
1º parte

INTERVIEW : SI SOK URSULA LIMA [MOY LIN MA]:
PART ONE:

Today you will hear a special story, a story that has lasted nearly 14 years of pure activity,
dedication, service, perseverance and more.
There practitioner in our Mo Gun (or already has passed there since 1995), which has
not even a story to tell together with her.
Speaking of her, is largely about the history of Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Rio de Janeiro ...
Speaking of her, is in fact talking about ourselves.
And to know that her is part of the story of many who access the blog,
we can say that is a great honor serving as a vehicle for this interview!
And even that only dividing it into two parts, to talk and show so much now!
And if the life of the Si Sok Ursula was a movie, could call the first part as "Episode 1: How it all began."
This first part will be more focused in a given period and, in relation about Si Sok and her Si Hing Julio Camacho.
In the second part, bring more current themes and images and explore their relationship with her Si Fu , Master Leo Imamura.
closing interview with "gold key."

Vanise Imamura.

The Blog Pereira then have the pleasure of presenting one of the most awaited interviews:
Si Sok Ursula Lima (Moy Lin Ma)> disciple of Master Leo Imamura and Mrs. Vanise Imamura.

BLOG DO PEREIRA:
Nome completo , nome do marido e da filha...

Si Sok Ursula: Ursula de Cássia Corrêa Lima Lopes do Carmo “Moy Lin Ma” , Ricardo Lopes do Carmo e Rebeka Lopes do Carmo.

Blog PEREIRA: Full name, name of husband and daughter ...

Si Sok Ursula: Ursula de Cássia Corrêa Lima Lopes do Carmo "Moy Lin Ma", Ricardo Lopes do Carmo and Rebeka Lopes do Carmo .

(Si Sok Ursula very young in the small but cozy Mo Gun on the Tindiba Road in Jacarepagua, with her boyfriend and now husband Ricardo Lopes.)
I myself particularly touched by this picture.

BLOG DO PEREIRA: Si Sok Ursula, há quanto tempo você pratica Ving Tsun?

Si Sok Ursula: Em Setembro faço 14 anos, comecei novinha, com 16 anos.

Blog Pereira: Si Sok Ursula, how long you've been practicing Ving Tsun?

Si Sok Ursula: Next September I´m gonna to complete 14 years of trainning,I started young, aged 16.

to her Si Fu Leo Imamura, observed by her Si Mo, Mrs. Vanise Imamura, perhaps one of her first Ceremonies. In the background we can also observe her Si Hing Julio Camacho.)

PEREIRA'S BLOG: You had already had some experience with other martial arts?

Si Sok Ursula: No, actually a day before the Ving Tsun Lecture I was watching a "baptized" of Capoeira(a kind of Ceremony of Capoeira) and the teacher was very handsome! ... I almost got in hehehehehe
But after listening a little bit about the Ving Tsun, never had doubts no more. This talk was in a condominium in Jacarepagua. Sihing Julio Camacho was the speaker with support of Ricardo Queiroz, but the person who had great patience and for some time explained about Ving Tsun for me was Homero Pereira.

(Si Sok Ursula is embraced Si Sok Mauro. On their The front is Si Sok Homero. In the picture we also have:
Si Sok Fabio Gomes, Si Fu, and wearing glasses is Si Sok Ricardo Queiroz.)
The photo shows a moment of rest for all who helped in the endless works when the Kung Fu Family moved to a bigger Mo Gun still in the neighborhood of Jacarepagua in Rio

Blog PEREIRA: Many people do not know, but my Si Fu who is your
Si Hing, Master Julio Camacho is your cousin ,is not it?

Si Sok Ursula: Yes, basically I do not remember that, this relationship is of prime time ...
Our relationship has always been much deeper in the Kung Fu Family than in co-blood(biological) Family , perhaps by the difference in age, but before the Ving Tsun the relationship was just about cousin, that only meets on the Family celebrations , without compromise. ..

(Si Sok Ursula few years later, already occupied a position of leadership within the Mo Gun. In this picture we can see her open the 1st
Traditional Ceremony of Family Moy Jo Lei Ou of her

PEREIRA'S BLOG: How was training with your cousin when you started? You took him seriously since the first moment or training was strange because he is your cousin ?(hehe)

Si Sok Ursula: Thiago, Well, I never trained other art, so I´ve always paid much attention, I wanted to do everything "right", but beeing very sincere, perhaps for he be my cousin and I very young at that time , I think the Sihing Julio did not take much faith in me, basically I thought he didnt gave me any ball*(*brazilian joke about soccer and someone who didnt care about you) ... hehehehe
and perhaps for this reason, I was staying, and I was staying... So of that first group (which started the old Jacarepaguá BRanch) I´m the only one that stay. After that, our relationship got stronger

PEREIRA'S BLOG: It is reckoned that the Jacarepaguá Branch (that after moving twice became Barra Branch and finally Rio de Janeiro Branch) began on the roof-top of your house, is this true?

(Amagic
photo of pre-opening of the Jacarepagua Branch in Tindiba Road : We can see Si Fu, Si Mo and Si Sok Ursula very young: "A great journey begins with a single step.")

PEREIRA'S BLOG: Could you describe these days?

Si Sok Ursula: At that time I was not practicing yet , I just used to see Sihing Julio going up to the roof-top with the staff to train and sometimes I went to watch without anybody see me, but only trainned once at my home, then went to the 1st Jacarepaguá Branch in Tindiba Road, in August 1995, and was there that on 16 September 1995 was the inauguration of the Jacarepaguá Branch with the presence of my Sifu Leo Imamura in my Admission Ceremony in Moy Yat Sang Family.

( sooooo many years ago, this was the women team in Mo Gun in Jacarepagua: In the photo
Si Sok Ursula stands next to Si Fu, and down the left , the always remembered Si Sok Monique.)

PEREIRA'S BLOG: In our country, in most of the cases only the boys are encouraged to practice martial arts. How was it for you? You received encouragement from the Family?

Si Sok Ursula: Well, despite being female, I think my story is not very different from most. In the beginning, depending on age, Ving Tsun was just one more strange activity that I had after school, and still could get home early to see the novel(soup-opera) of 18h with my mother, then I started to got late for dinner, then I would like to go to São Paulo to see my Sifu ... And then the thing started to heat up ...
I had to do a "good game of waist*"(*brazilian expression for "being smart") and great help ... Remember my Aunt Vera, mother of Sihing Julio who came to pay my training, when my father started to play rough*(*brazilian expression for "play hard") ... hehehehe, she helped her son and helped me .... that was my salvation and her proposal to continue coaching .... But nothing is by chance, amid the crisis that we find other outlets and I was the fight I started to work to pay for my training and it gave me great strength. Today I have the support and respect of all my family.

(In the photo we can see Si Sok Ursula between her first major incentive,HER Aunt Vera and her Si Hing Julio Camacho.)

PEREIRA Blog: Speaking of family, as once you started to train, How was with my Si Fu? You called him by Si Hing even among your biological family?
(hehe)

Si Sok Ursula: Well, modestily, I have always done very well with that, had much work to explain the family the first time that I called him Sihing. I never r forgot that day,so I call: Only "Julio" at home and Sihing in Mogun! has no mistake!

(Si Sok Ursula at a time of "Kung Fu Life" next to his Si Fu and Si Hing on the beach.)

PEREIRA'S BLOG: You started very young in Ving Tsun, but soon, you became the major reference on all aspects in Mo Gun after Si Fu Si Mo. all this time you have responsibility weighed too much for you?

Si Sok Ursula: I weighed in so far, but not in such a short time so I was always very active in mogun therefore missed a lot and learned a lot, the only merit I give and that might serve as a reference was to " have been. "(* "I stay till today")
During the beginning of my training I had kung fu brothers very present and that inspires me each time in a difficult level, especially when the mogun have not the maturity that we have today. Many important people, but I cite 3 that characterize a period of very intense Ving Tsun to me: Andre Cardoso "Moy On Juen", Monique Carvalho" Moy Man Lek "and Cledimilson Coutinho, great companions.

(at the very beginning of her trajectory, Si Sok Ursula used to challenged herself while standing in front of transmission process of the art to the more "Younger in Kung Fu" than her .)

(One of her most beloved friends in all these years: The unforgettable Si Sok Monique.A real "Aunt" or "big sister" to the entire generation that now is training
Baat Jaam Do in Rio de Janeiro.)

(One of the Si Sok I liked most, Si Sok Cledimilson! He used ask me to buy coffee for him all the time when I started training (hehe) was also a great companion during those days to Si Sok Ursula in Ving Tsun)

(It is difficult to say that Si Sok Andre was the best friend of Si Sok Ursula, when in fact he was the best friend of all of us.)

Blog Pereira: Si Sok, while the oldest woman practitioner of Mo Gun, when you start, How was to deal with a predominantly male environment?

Si Sok Ursula: Yeah, I think it was a mutual learning at the beginning, somehow, I had to 'conquer' my position, struggling to not be "coffee with milk*"(*A brazilian expression for someone who is treated as a child in any activitie) and sometimes I think I was a little further, but I believe it was necessary at that time. I have much support from my Sifu that told me : - Ursa*(* Cause the Name "Ursula" sounds like "Ursa" (female bear) in portuguese, and it is sweet to say), you are a woman, please do not fight like a man ...
And my Sihing Julio that always
put me in situations ,and gave me a body experience I really could not believe that depended on the gender, male or female, but the Kung Fu.

(The Mo Gun works are made by the members of the KF Family. Si Sok Ursula always got heavy in all Mo Gun´s works. This was on November 1999)

Blog Pereira: Si Sok, with no doubt you is the practitioner closer to Master Julio Camacho (my Si Fu and your Si Hing). Could you tell us a little of what he represents today after so many years in your life?

Si Sok Ursula: I have a great gratitude to Sihing Julio, he has introduced me to Ving Tsun System , created a bridge between me and my Sifu.
Led me for all levels of the system, enabled me to be dedicated today daily Ving Tsun.
He is an inspiration in many decisive moments and I´ve learned hard and put many words needed in other difficult times ..., not fall short here what our relationship entails. Today, I am too mature to reciprocate this care to his Kung Fu
Family.

Look, this picture is so fun just to look, that the Blog will take freedom to tell a story :

The only question that Si Sok Ursula did not answer was about a funny story she remembered with her Si Hing, but she does not remember. Well, we do not remember one of her with her Si Hing, Master Julio Camacho. But the very fact that Si Fu always tell about a practitioner who was "somewhat too passionate" by martial arts, that train with us for many years, slept in Mo Gun in Jacarepagua with a large group after a day of work.
Everyone fell asleep on the floor of the training room.
From dawn, Si Sok Ursula unintentionally (She was already asleep), touched one of her arms in this person, [perhaps thinking he was under attack (-_-'), he did an "arm-lock" (Jiu Jitsu Techinique) in Si Sok!!!!!!!
Si Sok woke up desperate .. hehehehehehhe
This story is very famous .. rs
